One day a girl named  Zoey was looking outside. There was a moving truck outside and Zoey couldn’t believe that someone had bought that creepy old house. It had a dead tree in the front yard and crows flew near it!

It also looked like the “Adam’s Family House!” It had wallpaper like beetlejuice’s pants, old creaky doors, and the PERFECT place for a ghost to haunt.  Zoey felt sorry for whoever bought the house; they were probably desperate and did not have a lot of money. It looked dirt cheap.

Zoey saw a pale white girl float out of the house carrying a couch  , Zoey  shook her head then the girl disappeared.

I’m hallucinating, Zoey told herself .  But was she? 

Zoey kept thinking about the old house , and the ghostly looking girl, Zoey decided to meet her new neighbors . She took out her mother’s cookbook out, and decided to make some chocolate chip cookies to bring to the neighbors. Zoey walked up to the old house , and brought the cookies to the creepy house , she knocked on the door.  No one was home . Oh well, Zoey thought , guess I’ll just leave the cookies by the door. 

 Later that day , Zoey saw a hand reach out to take the cookies. She felt good to know that her baking skills  were appreciated. At night when Zoey was about to go to bed ,she heard a voice, “Zoey let me in, it’s freezing! Oh and by the way…….. Thanks for the cookies! ’’

In the morning she woke up in a cold sweat and told her mother about the  voice she heard , and her mother said it was probably a bad dream.  Zoey relaxed after that. But at night she heard the voice again! Then Zoey mustered up the courage to open the window! The same pale white girl that she had seen earlier floated through the window !           

She said “ My room is cold

may I sleep here tonight?” Zoey, not wanting to anger the  ghost, reluctantly  said “Yes”!  In her mind Zoey thought : I am going to die?  Zoey showed the girl to the guest room. Then when Zoey had left the room, the ghost called her friends over ! She said to her friends “ Tonight , is the night we’ve all been waiting for …………” 

When everyone except Zoey was asleep, the ghost’s friends took Zoey’s  mom, and dad’s souls then when Zoey was in her room, too scared to fall asleep , the ghost said “ Zoey you seem like a nice girl, and I hate to do this but I need your soul, I hope you don’t mind! ”  ” Oh I mind, I definitely mind! This 10 year old wants to live the REST of her years!”  Zoey said then Zoey ran, ran faster than she had in her ENTIRE life ! But  sadly, she was not able get away .
