How to run a small business

Does your small business need help? You’re  business needs more customers, and to have that you need these tips!  They’re sure to get you more customers.

#1: You need good advertisement. If you don’t have signs or ads , how will people know where your shop  is? Maybe get some friends to spread the news about your shop, people might go to stores other people recommend.

#2: Know your customers. If you know your customers , you’ll know what products they like, leave a suggestion box in the store where customers can put suggestions on products they want in the store.

#3: Offer something no other shops have . If you can’t get that product anywhere else, people are more likely to go to your store. Keep how you make that product a secret. Otherwise other shops can sell that item.

#4: Organize your supplies and products. If a customer asks where a specific product is and you don’t know, you’ll be in an awkward position. If you don’t know where it is, no one will.

#5: How the building looks. Make the building eye catching, if it looks like a normal building people will just walk on by. It’ll draw more attention if it looks different from other buildings.

#6: Monopolizing the market: If you get a local celebrity, or a popular person to use one of your products, they’ll sell like hotcakes. People like to follow trends. If they see their favorite celebrity recommending a product, they’ll buy it. How do you think sponsorships work?

#7: Taking advantage of tik tok  food hacks: When the fruit roll mochi hack happened, fruit roll ups were sold out every where. Use this to your advantage, stock up on things used in tik tok food hacks.

#8: Catchy title: If you have a boring title no one will notice your store. Come up with a catchy title and it’ll attract more customers . A catchy title should stick in your mind, and it’ll be fun to say. Like seven-eleven.

#9: Activities for kids. No little kids like going with their parents to the grocery store , so give them something to do. Trader Joes does a scavenger hunt , and their business does really well.

#10: Catchy slogan. Put a boring slogan in your ads and no one will remember your store. Put a catchy slogan in the ad and people are more likely to go to your store. A catchy slogan sticks in a person’s  mind.

#11: Free stuff. I know I said “ NO freebies” but in SOME cases it can help you. For example: If someone at the checkout has a little kid , offer them a lolly pop. The kid will tell their parents to shop at your store.

#12: Secluded offering . When you have a REALLY good food product , offer samples of it to people, if they like it, ask them if they want to buy some. If they say no, tell them it’s only available during that month, or that there’s a sale on the product , and that they’ll lose a good deal. They will be more likely to buy it.

# 13: Be kind to your customers, if you are rude to your customers, they won’t go back to your store. Also you’ll get a bad review.  That’ll decrease your customers even MORE.

#14: Be open to new ideas: If you keep doing the same old thing, you’re store won’t stand out. Also new ideas can help you alot. It might be different , but it could end up being great for you.

#15: Analyze you’re competition. Go look around their shop, what are they doing that could help you? What makes your shop different?

#16: Watch the customers . What products do they buy? What is the product that is bought the most? Once you find that product, stock up on it. Popular products sell FAST , you’ll have a LOT of new customers.

# 17: Product placement. Placing your products specifically is important. Place expensive items at the front , at average height, where people look, they’ll most likely buy those products.

#18: Successful businesses: Study successful businesses. What are they doing that can improve your shop? Look up some successful businesses up and begin the research.

#19: Prepare to make sacrifices. Your business depends on you , although this may mean spending less time with family and friends , if you don’t make sacrifices you could suffer financially .
